The wish: What we don’t want: the same reality everywhere: homogenizing, oppressive, totalizing.
The message: Through dreaming, and focused breath, other realities are possible.
a refrain, to jump rope, by: envisioning, listening, sifting, and conscious action we can transcend and transform oppressive relationships, continuously establishing convivial ones.
Weeds: all of us: wrapped-alienated-united uniquely in our own shrouds of history, culture, and meaning.
Art is food: Here: we share our food with respect, dissonance, and good humor: cultivating palette and hands.
Art is the social: no individual without society, no society without individuals. Here is the space to dream. When art is shared, where there is community, art is alive. Where art is alive, we don’t have to justify the why – though an elusive process, it’s intuitively valued, as it moves us: and as we challenge and support one another.
Art is Movement: a crisis of listening, absorbing, creating, cultivation, and aftermaths.
We believe in baby steps and giant leaps. We remember that often a giant leap becomes little more than a baby step in retrospect. And, after all: how can we make the big dreams come true, if we can’t fulfill the little ones.
Breath: This project is not only meant to be a medium for artists/thinkers to represent their art and ideas – it’s meant to be a foundation we can step off from, a community rooted in the soils of reflection and the sustenance of actualizing dreams: where art is a process in which we all take part in, where every work of art isn’t uncritically weighted as equal – but is respected as worthwhile, where democracy isn’t so much talked about as represented – each artwork, comment and critique placed side by side so that persons may, individually and collectively, determine their own meaning and value.
The clock: united in death.
We believe that through the struggle great transformations are possible.
We walk together, and we walk alone ~ Appropriate for an internet project, such as this one, where we’re all connected and yet estranged each from one another as we strive.
